Native Apple Silicon Performance
PhotoScape X is compiled as a Universal 2 binary for macOS. On M1, M2, M3, and M4 MacBooks and Mac Studios, filters, batch conversions, and RAW decoding run natively on ARM64 without Rosetta 2 translation overhead.
How to Enable the PhotoScape X Extension Inside Apple Photos
One of the best macOS features is editing directly inside your Apple Photos library without exporting duplicates:
- Install PhotoScape X on your Mac and launch it once to register system extensions.
- Open System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions → Photos Editing and toggle PhotoScape X ON.
- Open any photo in Apple Photos, click Edit in the top-right corner, click the Extensions (...) button, and choose PhotoScape X.
